Lithograph in colours printed in 1976 by Alpina Offsetdruckerei for the Tirol Olympic Organisation Committee of the XII Winter Games. One of a now very rare set of three Winter Olympic 1976 posters promoting ice hockey, skiing and tobagganing at the Winter Olympic Games held that year in host city Innsbruck in the Austrian Tirol. A stunning and highly imaginitive poster featuring a sporting Tirolean mountain man in traditional costume, this poster is offered in strong original condition with excellent colouration; there is a 2 cm tear lower right but no paper loss, which would either not show upon professional framing or we could offer a linen-backing repair. We have not done so yet awaiting the buyer’s choice. Very scarce.
