Sudbayern: Sonne und Schnee

Lithograph in colours printed in 1937 by Dr C Wolf and Son of Munich to promote the ‘sun and snow’ available to tourists in the south of Bayern, including Garmisch and Altdorf. This is a nicely conceived poster of a happy (blonde) woman being taken to her hotel in a horse drawn sled by an authentically dressed local driver; her skis are naturally wooden. Offered in excellent original condition and displaying good colouration this poster is in very fine overall condition. Posters from pre-war Germany are naturally fairly rare, especially in this condition.
