Lithograph in colours printed in 1962 promoting the FIS World Skiing Championships held that year at Zakopane in the Tatra mountains of Poland. Exquisitely realised, this superb modernist, cold war poster manages to be both subtle and dramatic as the skier’s speed, seen deceptively from afar, causes wisps of snow spray to arise. A memorable image incorporating the FIS trophy logo offered in near perfect original condition displaying fabulous colouration. Very rare indeed. Linen-backed.
